Looking for an individual therapist is a big first step in uncovering your eating disorder. As eating disorder therapists, we understand that opening up about behaviors, fears, and deepest and darkest thoughts isn’t easy. We are honored to support you in the process.

INdividual Therapy

  • We will begin to explore your inner thoughts and beliefs about your body image, food fears, and behaviors.

  • We will unpack diet culture/societal beliefs, explore body neutrality, and dive into identity work.

  • We will work together to establish goals tailored to your individual recovery treatment and personal goals.

  • We will use an eclectic approach based on individual needs, including Psychodynamic, Object Relations, Emotion-Focused, LGBT Affirmative Therapy, Feminist Theory, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Family Systems.

Teen/Adolescent Therapy

  • We will treat co-occurring disorders and other struggles you wish to address, including identity, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, poor self-esteem, and life transitions.

  • We will use family-based therapy to discuss coping within your family system.

  • We will use DBT skills, externalization, journaling, and art to explore underlying emotions attached to your eating disorder and body dissatisfaction.

  • We will integrate family therapy, primary care physicians, psychiatrists, and dietitians to create a personalized treatment team.

Couples + FAmily Therapy

  • We will treat the couple or family as a unit and help identify the dynamics contributing to the eating disorder and distress.

  • We will improve communication, increase openness, and create healthy boundaries.

  • We will help facilitate emotional expression and assist in creating secure attachments.

Additional Service:

Are you a trainee in need of meeting your personal psychotherapy requirement?

Are you an associate seeking to count personal psychotherapy hours towards licensure?

We work with students, trainees, and associates counting their personal psychotherapy hours towards their examination eligibility application.

We both feel grateful for the support and insight we received from our personal therapists while navigating our journeys towards licensure. We are passionate about providing the same support to individuals entering the field during the fulfilling, emotional, and at times stressful journey to becoming a therapist.

Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions.
